Microsoft, Sony and Ford CEOS to Keynote ’09 CES
Microsoft's Steve Ballmer, Sony's Sir Howard Stringer and Ford's Alan Mulally are preparing to unveil the next generation of technology at the upcoming International CES, January 8-11, in Las Vegas.
"These exciting keynote speakers demonstrate that the 2009 International CES is the hub of activity in the consumer electronics, entertainment content, and automotive industries," said CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro. "Steve Ballmer and Sir Howard Stringer are driving forces behind the continued growth of the consumer technology industry. Alan Mulally is a true visionary spurring technology innovation in the automotive market. These leaders are changing the way technology is being incorporated into new markets…."

Getting Around: CES Foots the Bill
The International CES covers multiple venues, and between meetings and running back to your hotel for a little shut-eye, we know you have a lot of ground to cover. Let us help you get around. The International CES offers complimentary shuttle service on all four days of the International CES, Thursday, January 8-Sunday, January 11, as well as limited shuttle services on Wednesday, January 7. We'll even help you get to the airport as you head home after several successful days of networking and deal making.One system runs back and forth between the Las Vegas Convention Center and all official CES hotels. Another system runs back and forth between the same official CES hotels and the Sands Expo and Convention Center/The Venetian, home to emerging technology exhibitors, high-performance audio & home theater exhibitors and many CE Spotlights, including market-specific CES TechZones.

Global Media Awards Deadline Quickly Approaching
If you're a content producer and like a lot of attention, then the Global Media Awards are just your thing. But you better hurry. When it comes to the entry deadline countdown, we're already out of the double digits. Entries must be postmarked by September 12 for the Global Media Awards, produced by the creators of the world-renowned Emmy Awards.The Global Media Awards recognize content and technology excellence in seven categories: Short Form Media, Advertising, Web Site, Internet, Repurposed Linear/Traditional Content, Long Form Media, Technology Platform, User Experience/Program Guide. Winners will be announced at the International CES in Las Vegas. Entries must be postmarked by September 12, 2008. Learn more about the program, its producers and entry guidelines.
