Hotel Update: Official CES Hotels Adjust Rates and Availability
As you prepare for the 2009 International CES, so are more than 40 official CES hotels. Located on and off the Strip, these properties are adjusting their rates and freeing up more rooms to prepare for the more than 130,000 consumer technology professionals set to arrive in Las Vegas for the January 8-11 show.Recent changes to the official CES hotel roster include:
- Excalibur lowers its standard room CES rate by $79
- Circus Circus lowers its peak CES rate by $10 to $116
- Monte Carlo lowers nightly rate to $240
- Planet Hollywood lowers nightly rate to $289
Select hotels have also lowered their shoulder (pre and post show) rates. Shoulder night dates are January 4-6 and 11-13. Rates will be adjusted for all previous CES bookings.
- Flamingo: standard room reduced from $160 to $120; peak rate for standard room is $219
- Harrah's: reduced from $174 to $119; peak rate is $259
- Imperial Palace: reduced from $109-$185 to $69; peak rate is $165
- Rio: reduced from $180 to $150; peak rate is $275
